Meeting Report

The meeting today was the Consultative Group. It was
with Councillors, Ward Coordinator, Traffic Section
and resident's representatives from the Groves and
from Grove Village, as there will also be a
Residents' Parking Scheme there. The main thing to
report is that our scheme IS now going to include
visitor's permits. So good news there.
The tricky bit is working out how to implement it in a way that is fair and makes it hard for the permits to be mis-used (I think you know what I mean). There is also the consideration of covering the cost of issuing the visitor permits and this may involve a small charge (the permits for resident car-owners will be free). Various ideas and suggestions were put forward and the traffic section guys are going to take these away and come up with a proposal which they will bring back to another meeting in 4 weeks.
If anyone has any ideas about how to best do visitor permits or any other views on the parking scheme, please let me know.
