Remember:

• We can do more together than as individuals.
• As things stand, any vehicle with a valid tax disc is legally allowed to park on the Groves.
• Blocking the road in any way (while understandable) is not legal, and could get you into trouble.
• Being rude to drivers might make you feel better, but will not get us anywhere.

What can residents do?

• Until a solution is found, we can politely point out that if drivers park neatly - tight to the pavement and with not too much space in front or behind - then we will all have more room. That of course includes all of us who park here!
• It is annoying not being able to park outside our own houses during the day, more so if you've got a load of shopping from Asda to bring in and it's raining. However, it seems that is not enough to get the Council to take some action and re-consider whether the Groves should also have a resident's parking scheme. We need to demonstrate health and safety issues.
• If we form a Residents Association we can have representatives attend the Ward Coordination meetings and be able to bring any concerns (not just parking) directly to those who can do something about them.
